Substitute Cauliflower for Mashed Potatoes

My wife and I are both trying to lose weight.  My wife feels the best way is to lower the amount of carbs we consume.  Hence, we are trying to cut out potatoes from our diet.  So, I decided to share this dish that is a healthy substitute for mashed potatoes.  I have not had much experience with cauliflower, but I have to say it can indeed be used as a mashed potato substitute.  I don't think that you will fool your family into not noticing that it is cauliflower instead of mashed potatoes, but just remind them it is a healthier choice!  Let me know what you think!

  • 5 cups of flour
  • 5 eggs
  • Wyler's chicken flavor granules

Kielbasa and Sauerkraut - Easy How to Recipe

Nothing like the awesome aroma of cooking Polish Kielbasa and sauerkraut to instantly take me back to my mom's kitchen.  It can be served as a side dish or as a stand alone meal.  I know there are recipes out there that involve hours and hours of cooking and baking.  Let's forget all of that.  After all our intention is to make an inexpensive meal that is simple, quick, yet yummy.  One word of caution, some brands of sauerkraut contain caraway seeds.  In my opinion, this ruins the flavor,  so I am careful to read the label.  If you try this, I think you can agree it covers all three.  You will be surprised at how good it tastes and how easy it was to make.  Enjoy!

Potstickers - Easy Chinese Dumplings Recipe

I will show you how to make Chinese potstickers, plus homemade wrappers and dipping sauce!

I love Chinese food!  Whenever I go out to a Chinese restaurant, I have to try their potstickers.  Some may call them fried dumplings.  Either way, they generally have pork and cabbage on the inside surrounded with a dough shell.  They are served with a spicy, tasty sauce to dip them in.  They are so good, I just had to learn how to make them.  I have tried some complicated recipes, but I have found the simplest form is the best tasting.  Try this one with me and let's have some fun with it.  I'll bet it becomes one of your favorites!! Let me know what you think.
